Parents Deserve the Same Clarity Alberta Gives Big Files

When Alberta announces a major partnership, it publishes targets and timelines. Parents deserve that same clarity on youth vaping.

The contrast

The July 29 Canada-Alberta infrastructure announcement included funding amounts, housing targets, rural and Indigenous allocations, project deadlines, and public quotes from senior officials.

Parents need the youth-vaping file to be just as clear. If Bill 208 is supposed to protect young people, families should know what the province will measure and when it will report back.

Questions parents can ask now

  • Where are youth getting vaping products?
  • Which seller types are failing age checks?
  • How many inspections are happening by region?
  • What happens to repeat offenders?
  • What numbers will prove the policy worked?

Parents do not need another slogan fight. They need public facts, clear timelines, and evidence that youth access is actually falling.
