Parents should not be left paying for weak illicit-market enforcement

Parents do not need a tax lecture. They need to know whether the rules will actually reach the sellers creating the problem.

The family question

If a young person can still access products through unlicensed sellers or online channels, then families are left with the same problem and taxpayers are left funding the chase.

Stronger restrictions should come with stronger enforcement against the sellers who avoid age checks, taxes, inspection, and accountability.
